Nah. Not yet at least.
However, Mr. Lu Qun thinks he has something to fire back at Tesla. It's called the Qiantu K50. A lightweight carbon fiber body, allows the electric roadster to reach speeds of 120 miles per hour, and one charge will get you roughly 200+ miles of driving. The car is rumored to be sold primarily in the Chinese market, however it's success may help introduce the car to the rest of the world.
Mr. Lu is in the process of building his $300 million dollar facility in Suzhou a city neighboring Shenghai. The company is to produce about 50,000 units per year. This is only the beginning of a $1.4 Billion dollar investment, in efforts to close the gap between the Chinese car manufacturers and the rest of the world.
What do you think, will this car be able to take over the electric car market? Or will it all be one big flop?
We shall see, cheers!
